Thanks for the patience, I’ve been home solo with our NEW PUPPY this week and things really got away from me. But also — say hi to Wombat!
It’s been 15 years since I’ve had a puppy, any recommendations welcome!
READ
I read some buzzy books recently: Good Material (not sure I needed so much male character really), Bride (so bad but so good), and Come and Get It (fine?).
This poem makes me sadder than most things.

The world is unpredictable, dynamic and flawed — and so are we: how to thrive in an uncertain world.
LOOK & LISTEN
A new Idles album! And with it, this incredible music video that uses AI (and Chris Martin taking the time to train the AI for vocal performance) to reuse the Coldplay Yellow music video for their new song, Grace.
I made it to Luna Luna last week, and it felt macabre to walk through a graveyard of sorts that sits upon a beautiful original ideal. A fantasy with a price tag.
What’s in a menu?
Sports Bra / Renaissance Hands/ Laying down / Marine Biology
Look at this beautiful ceramic snack plate!
DO & BUY
A reminder that Julia Child’s Tuna Salad is the only Tuna Salad — on lazy days put it in-between seaweed chips for kinda sushi, on picnic day make the most delightful spread with egg salad, bread, lettuce, and tomato slices for the perfect lunch.
This week, I am smitten with Made In dinner sets and have just pulled the trigger after searching for something that lies between badly-made West Elm-like dinnerware or Heath. The red rim set is the one for me.

I acknowledge all Gabrieleño speaking people as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land on which I work and live in Laurel Canyon; as well as the Nunukul, Ngugi, and Gorenpul people of Quandamooka; and the Wiri, Barada Barna Kabalbara and Yetimarla, Yuibera, Birri-Gubba and Kungalburra peoples of Ilbilbie where I was born and raised. I pay my respect to Elders past and present, and to all first nations people.
yes, and just identified with your comment, because I love Heath, but just couldn't bring myself to order because of the price. But also love Made In's vibe. have all their pots and pans, knives and dishwater!
That is the PERFECT description of Made In plates. Between West Elm and Heath, although I might add that on that spectrum, the quality is closer to Heath.
